DropSide™ Insulation is manufactured from high performance Expanded Polstyrene (EPS) Foam, custom produced to fit all profiles of vinyl siding. Using the latest in computer design technology and state of the art machinery, ABT Foam, LLC can produce contoured EPS insulation to match any vinyl siding brand and their profiles.

Adding a layer of DropSide™ contoured high performance insulation to the back of vinyle siding adds and extra layer of protection from hot and cold. DropSide™ is ideal for new construction & retrofit, and is excellent for residential and commercial buildings.

The combination of DropSide™ insulation and durable vinyl siding adds beauty, strength, protection and additional energy efficiency to any home or building. When you want the look and feel of hardboard siding, don’t settle for high maintenance products like paintable sidings. Choose a rigid, low maintenance product that remains beautiful and offers cost savings year after year.

DropSide™ Performance Insulation Offers

  • Excellent rigidity which insures the siding will install straight and snug while helping to cover many wall impefections.

  Expanded Polystyrene Insulation
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid closed cell, lightweight, resilient, foamed plastic insulation. EPS is manufactured from resin that includes a flame retardant. However, it should be considered flammable and should not be exposed to any source of combustion. EPS is manufactured to meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM C578 and major building codes.

Environmental Impact
EPS insulation is an inert, organic material produced from petroleum and natural gas byproducts. EPS insulation does not contain CFCs or HCFCs. It is manufactured with hydrocarbon blowing agents. It provides no nutritive values to plants, animals, or micoorganisms. It will not rot, and is highly resistant to mildew.
