PreFur™ insulation panels is a revolutionary new method of installing high performance expanded polystyrene (EPS) rigid foam insulation and furring strips in a one step application. The EPS foam is produced with receiver channels allowing the wood furring strips to recess making a flush and smooth face between the EPS foam and furring strips.

PreFur™ panels are manufactured from EPS foam meeting or exceeding ASTM standards for testing rigid foam plastic. The standard panel size is 11/2” thick x 4’ ft. wide x 8’ ft. long. The wood furring strips are standard 3/4” thick x 1 1/2” wide x 8’ ft. long, spaced 16” on centers.

PreFur™ Applications:
PreFur™ is ideal for use in numerous construction applications such as, interior finishing of retail space, office space in tilt-up construction, and residential basement finishing. PreFur™ is also ideal for exterior applications when adding furring and insulation to masonry or frame buildings then applying siding. PreFur™ is also an excellent way of installing furring and insulation in one step over existing shingle roofing then attaching metal roofing panels to the furring.

PreFur™ Installation:
It is recommended to mechanically attach PreFur™ panels to the substrate using building code approved fasteners and fastening methods. For interior use, gypsum wall board or other building code approved covering must be applied over PreFur™. PreFur™ must be used in accordance with local building and fire codes.
