For more than 35 years, expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam insulation has been used in a variety of roofing applications and systems. EPS is ideal for new construction as well as retrofit.

EPS is a closed cell , light weight foamed plastic insulation which is compatible with almost all commercial roofing systems. EPS offers high insulation value, excellent moisture resistance, and is versatile which makes it an insulation of choice.

Tapered EPS is a cost effective solution for adding insulation and positive slope to any flat or very low slope roof deck. Tapering is ideal where adding drainage and is key to maximize the performance and longevity of the roofing system. EPS provides the required positive slope while retaining the structural and economic advantages of a flat roof deck.

TAPERED ROOFING SYSTEMS

  • Tapered EPS for new construction or retrofit
  • Versatile in design and customized to fit most all buildings
  • Tapering provides for positive water drainage
  • Tapered systems produced with a minimum slope 1/8” per ft.
  • Complete roofing tapered systems
  • Saddles and crickets for sloping roof designs
  • Ideal for built up and singleply roofing systems
  • Adding additional insulation while providing drainage

EPS can be customized to fit most all buildings in new construction as well as retrofit and can be produced to obtain the desired slope from 1/8 inch per foot and up. EPS custom tapered systems are factory fabricated with precut hips and valleys saving on installation cost and time. Adding ABT Foam’s EPS cricket and saddle systems will insure the desired positive drainage.

FLUTE FILL PANELS
  • Custom cut to fit flutes
  • Square edge
  • Beveled edges
  • Any thickness
  • Adds insulation
  • Rigid underlayment
  • Levels roof deck
  • Fast and easy to install

BENEFITS of EPS ROOFING INSULATION: BENEFITS of EPS:

  • Most versatile roofing insulation; tapered systems, saddles & crickets, flute fill, nail base, and flat insulation
  • Consistent long term R-value over the life of the roof
  • Lower cost per R-value than many other insulations
  • Compatible with common roof assembly components
  • Manufactured in four densities; 1.0, 1.25, 1.5, & 2.0 pcf
  • EPS density ranges from 10 to 30 psi
  • Closed cell rigid foam plastic insulation
  • Blended recycled EPS resin to be environmental friendly
  • EPS insulation is an inert, organic material
  • EPS foam insulation does not contain CFC’s or HCFC’s
  • Mold resistance; EPS will not support the growth of mold
  • EPS is able to withstand the abuse of temperature cycling
